Recent advances in DNA microarray technology
allow measuring the expression of thousands of genes in parallel under multiple
experimental conditions. This technology is having a significant impact on
genomic and post-genomic studies. Disease diagnosis, drug discovery and
toxicological research benefit from the of microarray technology. A main step in
the analysis of gene expression data is the detection of samples or genes with
similar expression patterns.
Machaon Cluster Validation
Environment (Machaon CVE) system is intended for application of
different clustering and validation algorithms to experiment gene expression
data. It directs to partition samples or genes into the groups characterised by
similar expression patterns and evaluate the quality of the clusters obtained.
